Hello Active Travelers, long time no see! It was a busy January for everyone at UCL and now we’re already into a surprisingly snowy February. Cycling, rollerblading, running, and even walking on the slippery pavements might be a little tricky tomorrow. But, to cheer us up, there’s plenty of exciting events happening this month which I’ll be posting on soon, so don’t forget to come back for details!
Let me start with one – UCL’s Go Green Week will take place around the campus from the 6th to the 10th of February, with lots of events centred around active travel. You’ll have the opportunity to have your bike security-marked by the police, for example, and your once-in-a-lifetime chance to sit in the driver’s seat of a double decker bus! As well, on Friday the 10th, there will be a Dr Bike clinic set up to help you with any issues you might have with your bicycle. You can read about Go Green Week here.
WalkRunCycle will be there too, handing out flyers, so do come down to have a chat with us about cycling, rollerblading, walking, or anything you have in mind.
So, hope to see you there, and before that, please make sure to come back for more information on rollerblading courses, cycling events, and other active travel stuff!
