“All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking.”
~ Friedrich Nietzsche
Did you know?
- Walking burns as many calories as jogging, but causes far less pressure on the joints!
- It improves mood and self esteem
- By walking for 30 minutes, 5 times a week you massively lower your risk of developing cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and some cancers.
- … and with the environment in mind – around one third of journeys we take by car/bus are under a mile long. This is less than 20 minutes walking!
These websites contain tools for planning journeys, finding amenities and calculating calories burnt!
